Postpartum Support Groups in New Brunswick
You were never meant to carry the weight of early motherhood alone. The postpartum season can be beautiful, tender, overwhelming, lonely, exhausting, and emotionally disorienting… often all at the same time. This support group offers a grounded, compassionate space to connect with other moms who understand the reality of what this season can feel like.
Whether you’re feeling anxious, overstimulated, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, unsure of yourself, or simply longing for a space where you don’t have to hold everything together, you are welcome here.
Motherhood changes everything… including you.
So much attention is placed on caring for a new baby, while very little space is created for mothers to honestly talk about what they are experiencing.
You may be:
Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted
Struggling with racing thoughts or anxiety
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your relationships
Grieving parts of your old life or identity
Wondering why this feels harder than you expected
Feeling guilty for struggling
Craving support, honesty, and connection with other moms
This group was created to hold space for all of it. Not to “fix” you. Not to tell you how motherhood should feel. But to remind you that you are not alone in what you’re carrying.
A gentle, supportive space for postpartum
This discussion-based support group is designed for moms in the early postpartum period (the first few months – though you ultimately decide what “early” means for you).
Together, the group creates space for:
Honest conversation
Reflection and emotional processing
Feeling heard and understood
Shared experiences and connection
Support without judgment or pressure
This is not an intense therapeutic process group, but rather a compassionate and supportive space to navigate postpartum alongside others who understand.
Support that feels grounding, validating, and human
I facilitate the group using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach grounded in the belief that your experience makes sense.
Within the group, there is space for:
Anxiety and overwhelm
Identity shifts
Relationship changes
Guilt and shame
Rage, grief, sadness, and exhaustion
The emotional realities of motherhood
Nervous system overwhelm and overstimulation
Learning to access support and self-compassion
You don’t need to show up perfectly or have the “right” words. You only need to arrive as you are.

I’m a Licensed Counselling Therapist (LCT) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and major life transitions.
As both a therapist and mother, I understand how emotionally tender and overwhelming this season can feel. My work creates space for honesty, compassion, grief, connection, and support, helping mothers feel more grounded and less alone in the realities of early parenthood.
I have advanced training in perinatal mental health and postpartum support, including:
Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders Training – Postpartum Support International
Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training
Bringing Baby Home Educator Certification – Gottman Institute

This is a supportive discussion group facilitated by a therapist. It is not intended to replace individual therapy or function as an intensive therapeutic process group.

Yes. The group is designed for the postpartum period, but you ultimately decide what that means for you. Postpartum isn’t a set time but rather an adjustment period. If you’re 2 years PP and still feeling like you’re in the whirlwind of the early days, you are welcome here. This group is intended to allow us to be together in the transition.

Most likely. Many insurance providers cover the support group under counselling therapy benefits, though it’s recommended you confirm coverage directly with your provider.
You deserve support in this season, too.
Motherhood was never meant to be navigated alone. This group offers a space to exhale, feel understood, and reconnect with yourself alongside others who truly get it.
